Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
Quranzam is a Quran audio recognition service. The app listens to a Quran recitation and identifies the surah and ayah in real time. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
For any privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@quranzam.com.
2. Information We Collect
If you use the app without an account:
- No personal information is collected or stored on our servers.
- Recognition history is stored only on your device.
If you create an account:
- Display name — the name you choose when registering.
- Email address — used to verify your account and allow password recovery.
- Recognition history — records of ayahs identified through the app, synced across your devices.
- Bookmarks — ayahs you choose to save for later reference.
- Account creation date — for display in the app.
Audio:
- Audio is captured only while you are actively holding the record button.
- It is sent over an encrypted connection to our recognition server, processed immediately, and never stored.
- No audio file is retained after the recognition result is returned.
Technical data (automatically collected):
- Basic server logs (IP address, request timestamp, HTTP status code) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored on secure servers. All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. Server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.
5. Third-Party Services
Quranzam does not integrate any advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or social login providers.
The app communicates exclusively with our own backend servers. No user data is shared with or sold to any third party.
6. Permissions the App Requests
